Granite is an igneous rock, formed from liquid magma deep below the crust of the earth, which has slowly cooled over the ages. Granite is a very hard stone, which can take a polish and is non-porous. Granite should still be sealed for ease of maintenance.

Any interior or exterior surface on which these tiles will be laid must be suitable for the purpose. The surface must be level, dry, clean and free of any dust, grease or loose materials.
When unpacking stone extra care must be taken as wooden and stone spacers may need to be removed from the packaging before the stone can be lifted out. Stone should always be stacked and stored vertically on its edge, but not on hard surfaces to minimize risk of chipping.
